Gregory Rollins

BAYOU CHICOT – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, for Gregory Lane Rollins, 61, who passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

Burial will take place in Ferguson Cemetery.

Gregory Lane Rollins a resident of Bayou Chicot was born on March 11, 1960, in Ville Platte, LA.  He was a loving husband and the best dad and grandfather. Greg had a love for hunting, fishing, and growing watermelons. He shared this passion with his 2 daughters, son in laws, and grandchildren. He made sure to teach his daughters and grandchildren many life lessons.  He was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything and make it “like brand new” again. Greg was no stranger to anyone and never thought twice about helping anyone in need.

Survivors include his wife of 40yrs, Cynthia Fontenot Rollins of Bayou Chicot; two daughters, Tasha Doga and husband, Matthew and Heather Bordelon and husband, Jade; four grandchildren, Cameron Himel, Noah Doga, Alexis Bordelon and Jacques Bordelon; and two brothers, Carl Rollins and wife, Linda and Jeffery Rollins and wife, Debra all of Bayou Chicot.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lee Roy Rollins and brothers, Michael Leon Rollins and David Lee Rollins.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 8:00 AM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations to help with funeral expenses.
