VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial, at

Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 for Ella Marie Granger, 83, who passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Father Mitch Guidry, pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass.

Inurnment will take place in Platin Cemetery at a later date.

Ella Marie Granger was born on October 21, 1937 in Mamou, LA to Adeus Hebert and Erma Guillory Hebert.  She was an active member of the DAV Ladies Aux Unit 41 for many years. She enjoyed listening to French music and dancing.  She enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers, and grocery shopping. She enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing in Clearwater Bayou.  Ella was a very strong in her faith.  She prayed the rosary daily and was a member of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. She found the most joy spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They always brought the happiest smile to her face. Ella was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger.  She will be missed by all those who loved her.

Ella leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of 66 years, Roderick Granger; three daughters, Linda G. Murphy and husband, Michael of Ville Platte, Annie G. Bergeron of Ville Platte and Geneva Guillory of Stockbridge, GA; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brother, Jerry Lee Hebert and wife, Joyce of Ville Platte.

She is preceded by her parents; Adeus Hebert and Erma Guillory Hebert; grandson, Jacob P. Guillory; two sons-in-law, Leonard Guillory, Jr. and John T. Bergeron; and brother, Veil Hebert.

At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  A rosary will be recited by Deacon Ben Soileau at 1:00 PM.
