VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, May 28, 2020 for Shane Deville, 41, who passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Acadiana Medical Center in Eunice.
Pastor Daniel Holsomback will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Platin Cemetery in Ville Platte.
Shane Deville was born on April 2, 1979 in Mamou to Ricky Deville and Judy Fontenot. Shane was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and camping especially around a lake. He worked as a contractor on a pipeline for the oil industry. Shane had a very outgoing personality and fondly addressed everyone as Big Head”. Shane was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and other family members. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those who knew him.
Shane is survived by his father, Ricky Deville and wife, Angela; mother, Judy Fontenot and husband, Ferrel; girlfriend, Deatrice Richard; three sons, Treylon, Trent, and Tylon Deville; four daughters, Keandra Anderson and Alaya, Khalena, and Cheyenne Richard. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his six sisters, Misty LeBlanc and husband Kebe, Brandi Deville, Kimberly Deville, Nicole Fontenot, Lindsey Fontenot, and Miranda Manuel and husband Chris; and two brothers, Shon Bruney and wife, Layna, and Joseph Deville and girlfriend, Tiffany Fetty; and grandmother Estelle Bordelon.
Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents, Murphy Bordelon, Alexander Deville, and Edna Deville and nephew Colby Fontenot.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 9:00 AM until time of service.
