VILLE PLATTE – It is with great sorrow that the family of John Davis “JD” Fruge, announces his passing on Friday, May 22, 2020 in Ville Platte at the age of 84.
JD, as he was known by family and friends, was born on October 20, 1935 to Eldia Vidrine. He was a hard worker; during his lifetime he had many different jobs which included being the “projector man” at the Platte Theater many years ago. JD was also a service station attendant, bicycle mechanic and auto mechanic. He loved motorcycles and was very proud of the fact hat he owned the first Harley Davidson Motorcycle in Evangeline Parish. JD was a friendly person that never met a stranger. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew him.
JD is survived by his niece, Mary B. Shuff, and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Eldia Vidrine Guillory; father; brother Albert Zayo; and sisters, Belva Z. Lee, Mary Jane Soileau, and Louella Zayo.
