VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Thursday, September 26, 2019 for Jessica Lynn G. Brown, 42, who passed away on September 22, 2019 in Opelousas surrounded by loved ones.

Father Tom Voorhies, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct funeral service.

Burial will take place in Eternal Rest Cemetery in Ville Platte, LA.

Jessica Lynn G. Brown was born on August 9, 1977 in Opelousas, LA to Richard Edward Grim and Gloria Ann Fontenot Grim.  Jessica had a great love for animals, especially her toy poodles.  She was a selfless woman with a tremendous love for her family.  Even though she was strong willed and stubborn at time she would put everyone’s needs before above her own.  These are the many qualities that made her an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  Even while fighting a courageous battle with cancer she went through life with a smile on her face.  This remarkable woman will be greatly missed by the lives she has touched.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Ryan Brown of Ville Platte; son, Jordan Brown of Ville Platte; and brother, Richard Brian Grim and wife Crystal of LeCompte.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Edward Grim and Gloria Ann Fontenot Grim and sister Cristina Pearl Morales.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by father Richard Vidrine on Wednesday at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
