Janet graduated from Ville Platte High School and was a faithful and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until the time of her death. Janet worked with the French Immersion program, for the Evangeline Parish School Food Services, alongside her husband at Evangeline Drug Store, and her most important job, as a Mother, Wife, and Homemaker. Janet also devoted much of her time to different school, church, and civic organizations through the years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, playing bourre and pokeno with her lady’s groups and supper club, cooking, was once an avid golfer, going to the casino, and spending time with her family.

Janet will now join in Heaven, her loving husband, Cecil R. LeBas, her parents Henri and Ada Foret-Guillaumin, and her in-laws, Harvey and Myrtle Bordelon-LeBas. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts. Janet will be proudly carried to her final resting place by her 5 children and her 2 oldest grandsons.

The LeBas family would like to send their everlasting gratitude to Dr Brandon Fontenot, Amy Fontenot NP, and staff for the dedication, care, and comfort they provided our Mother over the years and in her final days. We’d also like to thank the entire staff at Mercy Regional Medical Center & Heart of Hospice for their dedication and devotion to taking care of and making sure her last days were spent in comfort and peace.
