VILLE PLATTE It is with immense sadness that the family of Yvonne Comeaux Vidrine, 83, announces her passing on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center of Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will immediately follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Brad Guillory as Celebrant.

Precious memories of Yvonne will forever remain in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and dear friends. She leaves behind two beloved daughters: Jackie Bordelon and her husband, Brian of Ville Platte and Connie Vidrine, also of Ville Platte. Yvonne was blessed with five grandchildren: Stacy Foret and his wife, Amanda, Kenny LeJeune, Heather Bordelon, Travis Bordelon and Nicole Bordelon and she was further blessed with two great grandchildren: Madison and Evan Foret. Also left behind to mourn, her two siblings: Ernest Comeaux and his wife, Kathy of Lafayette and Mary Elkins of Scott. Yvonne was a kind and caring soul and her main purpose in this life was seeing to the care of her family she provided for their well being as owner and operator of Vidrines Market and Grocery. She will be both remembered and missed by all whom were lucky enough to have crossed paths with her on her journey here on earth.

She will now reunite, in Heaven, with her husband, Arcile Vidrine, her parents, Jules and Aimee Doucet Comeaux, two brothers, Birchman and Julien Comeaux and five sisters, Elia Ortego, Ella Mae Mire, Iva Mae Mire, Edelle Janice and Marie David. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.

At the request of the Vidrine family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 and will continue until 10:00 PM that evening and will resume at 8:00 AM Thursday morning and continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in her honor, Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM.
