Theresa Linda Ardoin Vidrine passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in her hometown of Ville Platte, Louisiana, at the age of 72. Born on Friday, February 5, 1954, in Ville Platte, Theresa lived her life sharing her talents and cherishing those she loved. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Interment will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Stephen Pellessier,
Throughout her years, Theresa embraced the role of homemaker, dedicating her days to her family and creating a warm, loving home. Her devotion was most evident in her enduring marriage to her beloved husband Mike; together, they spent 55 years side by side, building a lifetime of memories, strength, and love.
Theresa was known for qualities that endeared her to all who knew her—she was strong minded, loving, talented, and humorous. Her presence filled any room with warmth and laughter, which were a cherished aspect of family gatherings and everyday life. She loved preparing meals and baking, and family and friends will fondly remember her for making the best strawberry cake and sweet potato pie. Theresa enjoyed crafting like crocheting, painting, and diamond art and growing flowers brought her great joy. Although she enjoyed her crafts and flowers, nothing compared to the excitement that filled her heart when playing with her grandchildren.
Those whose lives were touched by Theresa will miss her immensely and will cherish her talent for making every occasion special, which is a testament to a life beautifully lived. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Frank Michael “Mike” Vidrine; daughter, Tiffany Ortego (Josh); grandchildren, Nicholas and Sarah Ortego; sister, Gayle Israel; and brother, Eddie Ardoin. Also left behind to cherish her memory is her “God sent sister”, neighbor and best friend, Marilyn Manuel.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie B. and Linda Dupre Ardoin; step-father, Hillary Dupre; and brother, Dwynis Ardoin.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary led by Deacon Ben Soileau beginning at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
