ST. LANDRY It is with great sadness that the family of Stafford Joseph Jones, Jr., 75, announces his passing on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital of Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, August 23, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church of St. Landry. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Theresa Cemetery with Fr. Richard Broussard as Celebrant.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Stafford will be deeply mourned by his devoted wife, Lise Meilleur Jones of St. Landry and his three children: Robert Jones of St. Landry, Karen Jones of Alexandria and Anita Causey and her husband, Karl, of Leakesville, MS. His memory will most certainly be cherished by his three grandchildren: April Carraway, Kara Thompson and her husband, Dennis and Nicole Willett. He also leaves behind two sisters: Belva Naquin and her husband, Ferrel of Lake Charles and Charlene Vidrine of Pine Prairie.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents: Stafford and Agnes Ortego Jones, Sr. their reunion will surely be a joyous one.
At the request of the Jones family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 5:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 until 10:00 PM Thursday evening and resume at 8:00 AM Friday morning and continue until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in his honor at 6:30 PM Thursday evening.
