MORGAN CITY - Funeral services will be held at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Friday, February 23, 2018, for Robert Arceau Bergeron, Sr., 74, who passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Morgan City, Louisiana.

Father Mitch Guidry, pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Robert Arceau Bergeron, Sr. was born in Mamou, LA. on August 21, 1943 to Arceau and Velma Mae Bertrand Bergeron. He was a retired welder. Robert spent his retired years hunting, fishing, and trapping in the Basins of South Louisiana.

He is survived by his son, Robert Arceau Bergeron, Jr. and wife Vickie of Vidrine; two daughters, Julie Ann Bergeron Prudhomme and husband James Cory Prudhomme of Vidrine and Jonell Marie Bergeron Deshotels and husband Luke Deshotel of Reddell; the mother of his children, Audrey Mae Verrett Bergeron of Reddell; four brothers, Larry Bergeron and wife Diana of Chicot, Regis Bergeron and Diana of Independence, LA, Johnny Bergeron and wife Annie of Vidrine and Joel Bergeron and wife Annette of Chicot; one sister, Janice Fairchild of Sunset, LA; ten grandchildren, Camille Bergeron, Catherine Bergeron, Amanda Bergeron, Hannah Prudhomme Vidrine, Hope Prudhomme Guillory, Haley Prudhomme, Alec Deshotels, Robert Deshotels, Valli Deshotels Soileau and Tina Deshotels Guillory; and nine great grandchildren, Eli, Cy, Kita, Jace, Sam, Case, Hallie, Lila, and Cohen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arceau and Velma Mae Bertrand Bergeron; one brother, Anthony Bergeron.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 PM by Father Mitch Guidry.
