VILLE PLATTE—With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we mourn the loss of Robert Earl Anderson, devoted father, cherished brother, and respected member of the community. Robert peacefully passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 66.

Born on November 12, 1956, Robert lived a life of honor and bravery. He served his country with great distinction, proudly serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Robert embarked on a career in the oil field industry, where he worked offshore as a skilled driller, contributing to the growth and progress of the Petroleum Industry.

Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, Robert was a man of great character and integrity. His dedication extended to his community. Robert was a 32’ Master Masonry and a Shriner for many years, exemplifying the values of brotherhood, charity, and goodwill.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving family, Lori and Fred Shaffer of Princeton, Leslie Anderson of Sibley, LA, Robert and Juana Anderson of Bossier City, LA, Lindsey Anderson-Walker and David Walker of Doyline, LA, Ryan Mark and Misty LeJeune of Turkey Creek, Rhett Mark LeJeune and Brooke LeJeune of North Dakota, Anaka Belle Vidrine and Kyle Vidrine of Opelousas, LA, Raven Marie and Justin Pitre of Bayou Chicot, LA; grandchildren, Alexis Cheyenne Roane married to Willis Roane of Sibley, LA, Gloria Savannah Aultman of Princeton, LA, Catherine Grace Shaffer of Princeton, LA, Bentley Reece Bray Shaffer, Abigail "Abby" Paige Anderson, Robie Elizabeth Anderson, Austin Payton Anderson of Minden, LA, Landon Gavin Anderson, Lexy Madison Claire Anderson, Tara Madeline Grace Anderson, Jackson Dean Anderson, Ruby Camila Anderson of Bossier City, La, Brianna Nevaeh Anderson, Bethany Jordan Anderson, Cristiano Rodrigo Ambrosio of Doyline, La, LeighAnna Brooke LeJeune, Aiden Ryan LeJeune, of Turkey Creek, La, Rylie Jade LeJeune, Braxley Mark LeJeune, of North Dakota, Colin Braxton Pitre, Caroline Marie Pitre, Connor Lee Pitre, Carter Anthony Pitre, ReaLynn Marie Pitre of Bayou Chicot, La,  and great grandchildren, Willow Eve Aultman and River Dakota Roane, Bentley Lee Anderson, Blake Leland Anderson, Tali Grace Dillard-Anderson, Preston James Anderson, Wade Lynn Graham; and many more to come; brothers, Joe Anderson and wife Carolyn of Bayou Chicot, and Michael Anderson and wife Connie of Lumberton, Texas.

He is proceeded in death by his loving parents, Wilford Dale Anderson, and Ida Louise Harmon-Anderson of Vernon Parish; sister, Carolyn Marie Anderson and brothers, Wilfred Dale Anderson Jr and Charles David Anderson.

As we bid farewell to Robert Earl Anderson, visitation will be on October 14, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot, Louisiana starting at 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM. Funeral Services will follow starting at 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Holston as officiate. A Masonic Burial Ceremony will be conducted shortly after funeral services. Family and friends are encouraged to share stories and remembrances that will forever keep his spirit alive within us. In this time of grief, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the legacy he leaves behind. Robert will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and his absence will be deeply felt.
