Ville Platte Funeral services for Phillip Johnson, 41, will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.

Phillip, a resident of Terry, Ms. and a native of Ville Platte, died Sunday, May 17, 2009.

He is survived by his daughter, Hayley Johnson of Ville Platte; two brothers, Carl Johnson and wife, Barbara of Madison, Ms. and Doug Johnson and wife, Cindy of Vidrine; three sisters, Patricia Johnson of Franklin, Linda Rainey and husband, Jim of Terry, Ms., and Sonia Gauthier and husband, Wilbur of Pearl, Ms.; and two grandchildren, Alexis Johnson and Gavin Henry.

His parents, A.V. and Wilda Johnson preceed him in death.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
