VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Saturday, January 15, 2022, for Philip Wayne Vidrine, 60, who passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Father Andrew Killeen will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Belaire Cove Cemetery.
Philip Wayne Vidrine was born on November 10, 1961, in Ville Platte, LA to Earlis and Shirley Vidrine. Philip was an avid LSU fan. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and cooking. He loved and adored his family. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Philip is survived by his parents, Earlis and Shirley Vidrine; sons, Devan Vidrine and Coby Vidrine; daughter, Skylar Vidrine; brothers, Christopher Vidrine and wife, Becky and Daniel Vidrine and wife, Leticia; sister, Maria Brown and husband, Kenneth; and several nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Hudspeth, nephew, Brady Hudspeth, and brother-in-law, Dale Sittig.
At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, beginning at 9:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed for Philip at 12:00 PM on Saturday, Deacon Ben Soileau will lead rosary.
