Philip Dupre

Ville Platte – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Philip "Pete" Dupre, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on September 4, 1941, in Pine Prairie, LA, Philip dedicated his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force before later embarking on a career with the United States Postal Service in Los Angeles, California.

Pete's passions extended beyond the postal service as he reveled in nurturing his lush gardens, showcasing nature's beauty with his green thumb. His gardens flourished, much like the love and light he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

Philip will be deeply missed by his sister, Yvonne Vidrine; his brother, Charles Dupre and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hampton and Myrtle Harvey Dupre.

In honoring Pete's life, a memorial service will be arranged at a later date to offer solace and remembrance to his immediate family.
