Paul Vidrine

VILLE PLATTE – A celebration of life will be held for Paul Vidrine at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 12:30 PM.  Paul passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, in Mamou, Louisiana at the age of 67.

Paul Vidrine was born on October 16, 1955, to Edis Vidrine and Ivy Nell Franques Vidrine in Pineville, Louisiana. Paul was a selfless person who always put others’ needs before his own which led him to be a loving family man.  He was a hard worker and was known as a “Jack of all trades” which contributed to his success in the Maintenance Department at Savoy Medical Center for over thirty years.  Paul was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time.  This special man will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Angela Renee' Vidrine and husband, Randy Wiley, of Lake Charles; son, Jason Paul Vidrine and companion, Rhonda Brown, of Mamou; three grandchildren, Jacob Vidrine, Jayden Vidrine, and Gabrielle Vidrine; seven brothers: Thomas, Wayne, James, David, Billy, Lynn, Herman, and Larry Vidrine; and four sisters: Dorothy Saucier, Caroline Chapman, Gaynell Vidrine, and Teresa Clark.

Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Israel Vidrine; parents, Edis and Ivy Nell Franques Vidrine; and sisters, Barbara Vidrine and Mary Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until time of service.
