Patsy Ann Fontenot

Patsy Ann Fontenot, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Pine Prairie, Louisiana at the age of 78. She was born on Saturday, February 8, 1947, in Mamou, Louisiana. Patsy spent many years working at Prairie Manor Nursing Home, where her commitment to caring for others shone brightly. It is a testament to her dedication that this place became her final home.  A graveside service was held at Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery in Ville Platte on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 9:00 am.

Patsy was cherished by her family, including her three children, Donald Fontenot, Jr. and his husband, Daniel Leary; John C. Fontenot and his wife, Rachelle; and Shelia Ann Gerstmann and her husband, Jon. She also took great pride in her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought joy and laughter to her life.

Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Donald Fontenot, Sr. and her parents, Rodney and Mary Lejeune.

Patsy Ann Fontenot leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and commitment to family, friends, and all those she served. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
