Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Norma Doucet Vidrine, 83 announces her passing on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Opelousas General Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Mausoleum with Fr. Mario Romero Celebrant.br A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Norma will be lovingly remembered by her son, Terral N. Vidrine and companion, Jennifer Kennedy of Ville Platte; two daughters, Janella Marie Vidrine and husband, Archille, Jr. and Arlene Vidrine Doucet and husband, Larry both of Ville Platte; one brother, James V. Doucet of Opelousas; one sister, Maudry D. Prather and husband, Joe of Opelousas; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.br She is preceded in death by her husband, Joel Vidrine, parents, Lorenza and Olivia Bellard Doucet; a son, Joel W. Vidrine, Jr. and a brother, Martin Widley Doucet.br The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, January 1, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening.br
