VILLE PLATTE – It is with great sorrow that the family of Nicholas Paul Demoruelle announces his passing on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 42. Services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kevin West officiating.
Nicholas Paul Demoruelle was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on April 14, 1980 to Don and Brenda Martin Demoruelle. Nicholas was the valedictorian of the Ville Platte High School class of 1998 and furthered his education at UL Lafayette majoring in IT which strengthened his love for electronics. He was a very loving person who was liked by everyone that met him. Nicholas was naturally artistic and enjoyed music and singing. Along with his brother, he was in the band “Lodias”. Welding wood art was something Nicholas enjoyed. Although his life was short, those he loved will cherish the memories they made together for a lifetime.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Don and Brenda Martin Demoruelle; brother, David Demoruelle and Briggette Richard of Broussard; two sisters, Erin Fontenot and Spencer Launey of Ville Platte and Amy Boudreaux and husband, Brody, of Lafayette; and his nieces and nephews, Riley and Eli Fontenot, Aubrey, Clark, and Luca Launey, and Leo, River, Lewis, and Lucy Boudreaux.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Ruby Melancon Martin and paternal grandparents, L.P. and Olga Ardoin Demoruelle.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM until time of service.
