Nellwyn Wedlock

VILLE PLATTE-Graveside services will be held for Nellwyn Marie Wedlock at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte. The services will be conducted by Deacon Ben Soileau.

Nellwyn Marie Wedlock, 79, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. Nellwyn was born on October 26, 1942, in Ville Platte to the late Joseph and Loycie Lafleur Bordelon. Nellwyn enjoyed flower gardening, working in her yard, sewing, crafts and her little dog, Sissy, but her greatest joy was her family and the time spent with them. She was a loving, kind, and gentle person who was outgoing and had a big, big heart.

Nellwyn is survived by her son, James Wedlock; daughters, Debra Johnson (Kent), Brenda Wedlock (Dennis) and Catina Rozas (Scott); grandchildren, Casey Judice (Dana), John Johnson (Ashley), Eric Fuselier, Dameon Fuselier (Kayla), Roxie Fuselier, Brandon Wedlock, Tyler Reed and Destani Simmons (Hunter); seventeen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nellwyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Loycie Lafleur Bordelon; her husband, Hubert Wedlock; brothers, JL Bordelon and Jimmy Bordelon; and sister, Gloria Fontenot.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte. A Rosary will be recited at 2:00 PM.
