VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mercy Dean Thompson Vidrine, 78, announces her passing on Monday, June 24, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte at 2:00 PM. Internment will follow in the Platin Cemetery with Pastor David Plunket officiating services.
A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Mercy will be lovingly remembered by her son Floyd Vidrine and wife Opel of Pine Prairie, her daughters Floella Vidrine Wedlock and husband Evans of Eunice, Glenda Vidrine Guillory and husband Calvin of Ville Platte, and Dolores Vidrine Lavergene and husband Clarence of Pine Prairie, her brother Lee Burke Thompson of Ville Platte, and her sisters Beverly Jane Savant of Wisconsin and Annie Ruth Savant Bertrand of Mamou. Her memory will also be cherished by her 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She now rests with her husband Lloyd Vidrine, her parents Theotis Fontenot and Felix Thompson, and her brother Linus Savant.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, June 24, 2013 beginning at 5:00 PM and continuing until time of service on Tuesday.
