Ville Platte Funeral service for Maudry Smith Thompson,74, will be held Friday, November 9, 2007 at 1:30pm in the Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery. Fr. Neil McNell will officiate the services.

Mrs. Thompson, a resident of Ville Platte, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 10:10pm in Ville Platte Medical Center

Survivors include her husband, Lee B. Thompson of Ville Platte; two sons, Jerry Lee Thompson and his wife, Veronica of Vidrine and Christopher Thompson and his wife, Enola Faye of Pine Prairie; two daughters, Sherry Israel and her husband, Charles Tiny of Mamou and Debbie Fontenot and her husband, David I. of Pine Point; two brothers, Johnny Lee Smith of Morrow and Junior Smith of Sulphur; three sisters, Helen Monceaux of Sulphur, Mildred Savant of Pine Prairie, and Mercedes Abshire of Sulphur; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Emily Smith.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 3:00 pm until time of services on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Thursday.
