VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Marlene Faye West, 68, announces her passing on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Memorial Services for Marlene will be held at 7 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in the Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Plunket officiating.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Marlene will be greatly missed by her husband of 13 years, James R. West of Pine Prairie, son, Shannon Daigle of Pine Prairie, step-sons, Barry West of The Woodlands, Tx., Johnathan West of Opelousas, step-daughters, Belinda Wyble of Opelousas, Jo Anna Savant of Winnfield and brother, Jessie Ortego of Avondale. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 5 grandchildren: Kendall Losee, Garrett Losee, Hannah Bourgeois, Dustin Daigle and Brysten Daigle.
Marlene will now reunite in Heaven with her parents, Arthur and Ella Ortego and her daughter, Rita Losee.
At the request of the West family, a visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home from 11 AM until 10 PM.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make donations to the family in memory of Mrs. West.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
