VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Louis Abe H. Lafleur, 79, announces his passing on Monday, January 06, 2014 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Funeral of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel of Ville Platte with Rite of Committal to follow in The Old Ville Platte Cemetery with Deacon Gene LeBouef as officiant.
Louis leaves behind one sister, Bonnie Del Vecchio of Strafford, Connecticut and his loving nieces and nephews: Cindy DiSorbo of Connecticut, Sylvia Fontenot of Pine Prairie, Kathleen Dupre of Opelousas, Charles Lafleur of Ville Platte, Michael Del Vecchio of New Jersey and Vernal Lafleur of Grand Prairie. Louis served his country with great courage and pride while a soldier in the United States Army.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his beloved wife, Una Lafleur and a nephew, James Lafleur. Their reunion will surely be a joyous one.
At the request of the Lafleur family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 and will continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in his honor at 1:30 PM Tuesday.
