VILLE PLATTE It is with the great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Lou Claudia Saucier Fontenot, 89, announces her passing from this world to join her Savior in the next. Lou Claudia passed away at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte Saturday, October 18, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Brad Guillory celebrant.

A loving mother and grandmother, Lou Claudia leaves behind her precious children: Danny Fontenot and wife Becky of Ville Platte, Dickie Fontenot and friend Rowena of Bayou Chicot, Nancy Del Vecchio and husband Michael of Bethlaham, PN, and Linda Flanagin and husband William of Carencro. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

She will now reunite in Heaven with her husband Calvin Fontenot, her parents Jean Batiste and Celeste Deshotel Saucier, and her siblings: Jean Batiste Saucier, Jr., Elwood Saucier, Wernerie Martin Saucier, Helen Morien, and Priscilla Lane. They most surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.

At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning Monday, October 20, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM and continue on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
