Ville Platte - A Funeral Service will be held for Lessie Marcantel Vidrine at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Timothy Darnell will officiate the service. Burial will follow at The Church of Christ Cemetery in Mamou.

Mrs. Vidrine, age 93, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2016 at Nottingham Regional Rehab Center in Baton Rouge, where she resided for two and a half years.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Ardoin Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
Mrs. Lessie was a devout Christian and led a life dedicated to The Lord. She attended The Church of Christ in Mamou for her whole life. Lessie loved listening to gospel music, sewing and she took great joy in cooking meals for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Lessie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Fuselier and husband, Gene of Baton Rouge and Ruth Darnell and husband Jimmy of Fort Worth, TX; her grandchildren, Jeff Fuselier and wife, Brenda, Ryan Fuselier and wife, Karren, Randall Darnell and wife, Marianna, Tim Darnell and wife, Elisa, Jeremy Darnell and Nellie Jackson and husband, Dan; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Polite Vidrine; her parents, Ernest and Devienne McGee Marcantel; and three sisters, one brother and two half-brothers.

Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, LA.
