Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Laurine Russell, Jr., 56, announces his passing on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was at home, surrounded by members of his family when he left this world. Laurines life will be celebrated during a Funeral of Christian Burial at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel of Ville Platte with burial to follow in the AddisonJohnson Cemetery .

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Laurine leaves behind his devoted wife of twenty seven years, Juliana Ortego Russell of Ville Platte and his beloved children: Bradley Russell, Patricia Waller and Renee Brown, all of Texas. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren and further blessed with four great grandchildren they were his greatest joy here on earth. Also left behind to mourn, his sisters: Mary Ann R. LaFleur and Bertha R. Hebert and her husband, Nicky, all of Ville Platte. Laurines quick wit and care free spirit will be forever cherished by his nieces, nephews and close friends he will be sadly missed by all lucky enough to have crossed paths with him on his all to short journey here on earth.

He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Laurine and Mary Ethel Bourque Russell, Sr. Their reunion will surely be a joyous occasion.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 9:00 AM Tuesday, September 9, 2014 and will continue until the time of the service on Wednesday.
