Larry J. Bolfa, born on September 9, 1954, peacefully passed away at his home on May 20, 2026. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent his career in the oilfield as a tool pusher, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment that earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his professional life, Larry found joy and fulfillment in simple yet meaningful pursuits. He was an avid gardener, nurturing his plants with care, and had a passion for working on lawn mowers, a hobby that showcased his hands-on nature and love for tinkering. Most cherished of all, Larry devoted much of his time to being with his family, treasuring the moments spent with loved ones, especially his daughters, who he loved very much and were his pride and joy.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Brandy Gautreaux and her husband Joseph, Tiffany Fontenot and her husband Chuncey, and Tammy Fontenot and her husband Logan. He was a beloved grandfather to Seth Gautreaux, Zachary Gautreaux, Sydney Fontenot, Adalynn Fontenot, Kayleigh Fontenot, and Alyssa Fontenot. His legacy also lives on through his great-grandchildren, Koah, Avery, Kye, and Levi. Additionally, Larry is survived by his brother, Ronald Bolfa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Bolfa; his parents, Ivan and Eden Bolfa; and his sister, Angela Strippling. Their memories accompany Larry as he rests.
Larry J. Bolfa’s life was a testament to dedication, family devotion, and quiet perseverance. His memory will be lovingly preserved by those who knew him and cherished every moment shared.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4 PM to 10 PM at the Christian Tabernacle in Pine Prairie on Heritage Road. Visitation will open again on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 9 AM until the time of services at 3 PM. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
