Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Duane Waters, 61, will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 1 p.m. in Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. Rev. Roger Whittington will officiate the services.

Mr. Waters, a retired Major in the U.S. Air Force, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 in Ville Platte Medical Center.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother he is survived by his wife, Judy Fontenot Waters of Ville Platte; two sons, David Waters and his wife, Sandy and Doug Waters both of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Ashley Barfield of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Janet Norwood of Lafayette and Elaine Johnson of Natchitoches; five grandchildren, Mary-Douglas Waters, Bradley Waters, Merrit Waters, Breleigh Barfield, and Cameron Waters.

He is preceded in death by one son, Eric Shane Waters and a brother, Donald Waters.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, October 10, 2008 from 10 a.m until 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
