Ville Platte Funeral services for Joylyn Aucoin, 76, will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Ms. Aucoin, a resident of Ville Platte, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at 5:50 p.m. in Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister she is survived by one son, Blake Aucoin and wife, Kim of Prairieville; two daughters, Bonnie Lafleur of Ville Platte and Sally Sylvester and husband, Dr. Carl of Ville Platte; two sisters, Helen Thibodeaux and Joyce Miller of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Perran Blane Aucoin parents, Elton and Atile Lafleur; a brother, Kenneth Lafleur and one sister, Lena Ardoin.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Wednesday from 7 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
