Joseph Soulie Bourque

Ville Platte – Funeral Service for Joseph Bourque, 89, will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte.

Mr. Bourque passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home. Joseph was born in Belaire Cove on November 7, 1933, to the late Adonis and Lillian Catoire Bourque. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and fishing, hobbies that he shared with his children.

Joseph is survived by his sons, Erven Bourque Sr. (Gloria) and Randy Bourque (Brook); his daughters, Cynthia Brown (Chris) and Barbara Vidrine; step-daughter, Barbara Watts (Chris); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Inez Ardoin, Waverly Vidrine, Hassa Fontenot, Juanita Fontenot, and Elorise Guillory; and brothers, Steve Bourque and Donald Bourque.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wives, Eura Jane Lebleu, Joyce Bourgeois, and Lee Bell Ortego; son, Randall Wayne Bourque; grandchildren, Erven Bourque Jr., Lisa Renee Bourque, and Brian Kent Vidrine; great-granddaughter, Sabrina Hale; sister, Ethel Russell; and step-son, Curtis Ortego.

At the request of the family visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
