PINE PRAIRIE It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Guillory Bergeron, 61, announces her passing on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. After fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer, Joan died peacefully at her home her beloved son and family were at her side when she left this world to join her Savior in the next. A Funeral of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte at 2:00 PM Friday, September 13, 2013. Burial will follow in the St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in Pine Prairie with Rev. Mike Guillory officiating the services.
A loving mother, sister and aunt, Joan will be deeply mourned by her only son, Dustin Bergeron and his wife, Jessica of Houston, TX. She also leaves behind four siblings: Winston Guillory of Pine Prairie, Steve Guillory and his wife, Ola of Turkey Creek, Randy Guillory and his wife, Jackie of Pine Prairie and Sherry Rider Smith also of Pine Prairie. Her great strength and kind spirit will be cherished by her numerous nieces and nephews.
She will now reunite in Heaven with her beloved parents, Senia Louis and Evelyn Marie Guillory their reunion will most certainly be a joyous one.
At the request of the Bergeron family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 5:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2013 and will continue until 10:00 PM that evening and resume at 8:00 AM Friday morning and carry on until the time of the service.
