Obituary

Jimmie Lewis Cloud, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Lacompte, Jimmie was a longtime resident of Turkey Creek, where he built a life centered around his family, his work, and the people he loved.

Jimmie grew up around trucking, learning the business from his family and eventually making it his own. Through Jimmie Cloud Trucking, he carried on a family tradition and built a respected career in an industry that was much more than a job to him—it was a way of life. Those who knew Jimmie knew his strong work ethic, determination, and pride in providing for his family.

Above all else, Jimmie's greatest joy was his family. He shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patsy Deville Cloud. He was a loving father to his daughter, Tabatha and her husband, Michael Sontag, and a proud grandfather to Michael Peyton, Cullen Lewis, and Clara Mae. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, and the memories they made together will be cherished forever.

Jimmie is also survived by his brother, Donald Cloud and his wife, Dianna; three nephews, one niece, five great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Cloud and Shirley Holden Cloud and his sister, Branda Jenkins.

Jimmie's life was one of hard work, family, loyalty, and love. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family can take comfort in knowing that the love he gave so freely will remain with them forever.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 at Friendship Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at Addison Johnson Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026. All services will be conducted by Pastor Brian Thomas.

May Jimmie rest in peace, knowing that his life made a difference and that he will forever be loved and remembered by his family and friends.
