VILLE PLATTE It is with immense sadness that the family of James Douglas Arnold, 55, announces his sudden passing on Thursday, April 24, 2014. James life will be celebrated during a Funeral of Christian Burial to be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte with burial to follow in the TeMamou Cemetery. Pastor David Plunket will officiate the services.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, James leaves behind the love of his life, his faithful wife of twenty three years, Cathy Ann Arnold of Ville Platte. He will be deeply mourned by his two sons: Kirk Vidrine of Lafayette and Marcus Vidrine and his wife, Kinsey of Ville Platte and his legacy will continue on through his precious grandchildren: Dylan and Madison Vidrine. Also left behind, his beloved parents, Edward and Shirley Arnold of Ronoake, his siblings, Ed Arnold and his wife Nikki of Westlake and Bonnie Mourvant of Iowa, La., two brothers in law, Wilbur Thompson and his wife, Anna and Patrick Fontenot and his wife Sandra, all of Ville Platte and his niece and nephew, Belinda Simar of Belle City and James Ortego of Lake Charles.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his beloved sister Debbie Fontenot and his in laws, Edward Fontenot and Lillie Mae Fontenot. Their reunion will certainly be a joyous occasion.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 4:00 PM Friday, April 25, 2014 and will continue until 10:00 PM that same evening and again at 8:00 AM Saturday morning until the time of the service.
