VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Jacques R. Coreil, Jr., 76, announces his passing on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center of Ville Platte his beloved wife, Ethel was at his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 PM Friday, September 13, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Fr. Mitchell Guidry as Celebrant.
A devoted husband, brother, brotherinlaw, uncle and friend, Jacques leaves behind his loving wife, Ethelyn Monier Coreil of Ville Platte. He will be mourned by his only sister, Diana Perrodin of Lake Charles and a sisterinlaw, Sandra Monier of Ville Platte. His memory will most certainly be cherished by his nieces and nephews: Katra Morrison of Ville Platte, Melissa Rech of Houston, Dr. Chuck Monier of Ville Platte and Curt Perrodin of Moss Bluff and his great nieces and great nephews: Taylor Rech and Bailey Rech, both of Houston, Jenifer Monier, Dori Monier, Alyssa Morrison, Logan Morrison, Michael Monier and Taylor Monier, all of Ville Platte.
Jacques served his country with great honor and pride as a soldier in the United States Army. He worked for the State of Louisiana for forty two years after which time he retired Jacques was a true believer in giving back to ones community, he was a member of and served as past president of the Ville Platte Rotary Club and he was also involved in various other local and state associations. He was a long time member of the Millers Lake Hunting Club where enjoyed spending time with his dear friends, they will surely miss his sharp wit and tall tales.
Jacques will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacques Bedo R. Coreil, Sr., his inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. Darcenus Monier, and two brothersinlaw, Robert Perrodin and Joe Monier. They most assuredly await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Coreil family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 4:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2013 and will go on until 9:00 PM that evening and resume at 8:00 AM Friday morning and continue until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in his honor Thursday evening at 6:00 PM.
