Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Hester F. Roberie, 99, will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:30am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mrs. Roberie, a resident of Ville Platte, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She retired from Ville Platte High School in 1975 as a lunchroom worker.

Survivors include one son, Landris Bud Roberie and wife, Gladys of Ville Platte; three daughters, Lou Pitre and her husband, Howard of Ville Platte, Geneva Brignac and her husband, Louis of Schriever, La, and Runie Thibodeaux of Ville Platte; one sister, Jerry Brasseaux of Gonzales; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mayo Roberie; two sons, Donald Roberie and Ray Roberie; one grandson, Donnie Thibodeaux; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arteluse Fontenot; and one son in law, Dewey Thibodeaux; and several sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2007 from 5pm until 10pm and on Saturday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 Friday.
