Gloria Prejean

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Friday, August 16, 2019 for Gloria F. Prejean, 86, who passed away on August 14, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones.

Father Tom Voorhies, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct funeral service.

Burial will take place in Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Ray L. “RL” Prejean; sons, Michael Prejean, Sr. and wife Mona of Houma, LA, Leonard Wayne Prejean and wife Laura of Searcy, AR, Robert Prejean of Ville Platte, LA; daughters, Rebecca Prejean Fontenot and husband Danny of Ville Platte, LA and Christine Prejean Hudspeth and husband Roy of Ville Platte, LA; 10grandchildren;  23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M Fontenot and Dina Tate Fontenot; brothers, Curley Fontenot, Clifford Fontenot, Uyal Fontenot, and Clarance Fontenot; and sisters, Joycie Fuselier, Lucillea Reed, and Dina Lee Fontenot.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Father Tom Voorhies on Thursday at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
