VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family of Efton Joseph Guillory, 81, announces his passing on Saturday, January 3, 2015. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery in Ville Platte with Pastor W. L. Wiltz officiating services.
A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Efton will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Irene Fontenot Guillory of Shreveport, one son Joseph Farrell Guillory of Ocala, Florida, two daughters: Brenda Ware and husband Tommy of Shreveport and Angela Kay Bergeron of Patterson, two brothers: A. J. Guillory and J. R. Guillory both of Pine Prairie, and three sisters: Effie Ardoin of Krotz Springs, Emily Charlie of Ville Platte, and Lou Anna Guillory of Carencro. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his eleven grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
He now rests with his parents Rena and Elsie Guillory.
At the request of the Guillory family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
