Edwin Gordon Courtney

VILLE PLATTE – A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Monday June 12, at 10:00 AM for Edwin Gordon Courtney. Following the Mass, Military Honors will be conducted by The United States Air Force. Edwin Gordon Courtney, 81, a native and resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Janet Parnell Courtney; daughter, Jacqueline Courtney; son, John Courtney and wife, Sheralyn; and brother, Mike Walker.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Guillory Courtney Walker; father, Edwin Gordon Courtney, Sr.; stepfather, Billy Walker; granddaughter, Abigail Faith Courtney; and sister, Janet Irene Courtney.
