Disie Doris Fontenot, a beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Denham Springs, Louisiana, just days before her 88th birthday. She was born on June 16, 1937, in Turkey Creek, Louisiana, to the late Fred and Ada Bell Willis. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at First United Pentecostal Church in Turkey Creek with burial to follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
Disie was a devout Christian who loved flowers and found joy in the beauty of God’s creation. She was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church of Baton Rouge and lived her life with grace, kindness, and unwavering faith.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Milton R. Fontenot of Denham Springs, LA; her loving sister, Gayle Cobb, and husband, Eddie Cobb of Pasadena, Texas; as well as numerous other cherished family members who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Daisy Madeline Leray.
Disie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her deep faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
