David Keith Comeaux, a devoted family man and cherished member of the Ville Platte community, passed away peacefully at his home on April 28, 2026. Born on November 17, 1960, David lived a life marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
For many years, David lent his steady hands and hardworking spirit to the city of Ville Platte’s maintenance department. His work was a testament to his character—reliable, diligent, and humble. Yet, beyond his professional contributions, it was his role within his family that defined him most profoundly. David enjoyed taking care of his family above all else, loving with his whole heart.
David was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the New Orleans Saints and the Boston Celtics. Whether in the garage working on cars or cheering on his teams, he found joy and comfort in these simple pleasures. These hobbies reflected the warmth and enthusiasm he brought to every aspect of his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Bobbi LeCoq, and her husband Cole; his brothers Carl Comeaux and wife Ruby, and Russell Comeaux; his sister-in-law Gayle Comeaux; grandchildren Robert Ellis LeCoq, Joseph Luke, and Annelise Joy; and Debbie O’Connor, mother of his child. Their lives were deeply enriched by his presence, guidance, and boundless affection.
David also leaves behind memories of those who preceded him in death: his brothers Dale Comeaux and Michael Comeaux, his sister Janelle Comeaux, and his parents Joseph and Goldie Comeaux. Though they are no longer with us, their spirits live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
David Keith Comeaux’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and heartfelt devotion. He embraced life fully, usurping every moment to care for his family and follow his passions. His memory will forever be a source of comfort, inspiration, and profound gratitude to all who knew him.
