Cathy loved spending time with her family and friends when she felt enough to do so. She faced many challenges with her health over the years, but always did what she could. In her healthier years she would go all out for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. She would decorate her home, make dishes and desserts for all to enjoy. Cathy was a huge dog lover and always had a furry companion by her side. She had recently adopted her dog Rosie who she absolutely adored. Her biggest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren including two special men that were like sons to her, Derek Landry and Danny Deshotel. We will cherish all the memories that we were blessed to have shared with her.
On behalf of Cathy’s family, we would like to offer a special thank you to her beloved Aunt Marilyn Echols for being there for her and lending a helping hand whenever she needed. Marilyn was also responsible for introducing Cathy to her husband Glenn, the love of her life who she will now be reunited with.
She is survived by her son, Michael G. Brown, Jr. and wife, Daisy of Washington; son-in-law, Josh Webb; grandchildren, Alaina Matte, Hillary Marks, and Trent Richard; and three godchildren, Nicholas Ardoin, Kaleb Smith, and Chelsea Coates.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Lennis and Bobbie McCauley; husband, Michael Glenn Brown, Sr.; daughter, Casey Ann Brown Webb; and grandson, Colby Jeansonne.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Church on Saturday, March 27, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM.
