Casey Fontenot

Casey Elizabeth Fontenot passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana at the age of 36. Casey, a loving daughter, mother, and sister was born on Thursday, May 18, 1989, in Ville Platte and strived for excellence in everything she did. Casey earned her master's degree in accounting from UL Lafayette, which laid the foundation for her successful career as an auditor and accountant. Her dedication and knowledge provided her with opportunities to work with various companies across the United States and even abroad.

In addition to her passion for her career, Casey enjoyed working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, demonstrating a balance of diligence in both her professional and personal endeavors.

Above all, Casey's proudest accomplishment was being a loving mother to her daughter, Gabrielle. Her devotion to her daughter was unwavering, and the bond they shared was at the heart of her being and was her motivation to be successful in life.

Casey leaves behind her daughter, Gabrielle Cormier; her beloved parents, Randy and Anna Fontenot: brothers, Shane Fontenot (Gloria) and Doug Fontenot, as well as her sisters, Katie Ardoin (Phillip) and Julie Hebert (Dustin). Also left behind are her numerous friends that she enjoyed spending time with.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Donald and Germaine Manuel and paternal grandparents, John Wade and Irene Fontenot who surely welcomes her with open arms.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Friday, September 12, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by praying the rosary at 10:30 AM and lastly A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mitch Guidry as Celebrant.

Casey’s legacy of hard work, intelligence, and love will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by them all.
