VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts that the family of Beverly Gene Fontenot, 84, announces his passing on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center of Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the
Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Fr. Joshua Guillory officiating the services.
Mr. Fontenot is survived by his devoted wife, Glenda Gayle Ardoin Fontenot and his five children: John Herbert Fontenot and his wife, Debra of Ville Platte, Steven Paul Fontenot of Ville Platte, Jennifer Joan Fontenot Walker and her husband, Anthony of Ville Platte, Marie Celeste Fontenot Hudspeth and her husband, Dean of Lafayette and Brenda Gayle Fontenot LaFleur and her husband, Joseph, Jr. of Point Blue. His memory will most certainly be cherished by his grandchildren: Nicholas, Jordan and Courtney Fontenot, Jack and Joseph Walker, Samuel and Alana Hudspeth, Heidi, Charlie and Bryan LaFleur and Quinten and Kaitlyn Fontenot and his great grandchildren: Trippe Kimble, Collin LaFleur and Tessa Kimble. He also leaves behind a brother, Herbert L. Butch Fontenot of Ville Platte and a sister, Barbara Lynn Fontenot Corcoran of Bogalusa. He will be sadly missed by all who were lucky enough to have called him an uncle, cousin or friend.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Herbert Lee and Lula Fontenot. They await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Fontenot family, visitation will be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. and will continue until 9:00 P.M. that evening and will resume at 8:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 and continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in his honor at 6:00 P.M. Monday evening.
