VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barbara Ann Deville, 65, announces her passing on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Savoy Care Center of Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Ville Platte at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery Fr. Brian Harrington will officiate the services.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Barbara leaves behind her three devoted children: Brian Deville of Ville Platte, Renee D. Theriot and her husband, James of Sorrento and Steven Deville and his wife, Brandy of Ville Platte. Her memory will be cherished by her four grandchildren: Tylor Theriot, Dillon Theriot, Cy Deville and Lauren Deville they were, without a doubt, her greatest joy in life. She will be sadly missed by her siblings: John Wayne Fontenot and his wife, Nellie of Ville Platte and Mary Fontenot of Pine Prairie. Barbara was a kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life anyone lucky enough to have known her was truly blessed.
Barbara will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Roland Deville and her parents, John and Harris F. Fontenot. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Deville family, visitation will be held Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 5:00 PM Monday, July 29, 2013 and will continue until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
